Understanding the Transition
Perimenopause and menopause are not just biological shifts; they are a new phase of life that deserves time, nuance, and individualized care.
Perimenopause
This can be a rollercoaster, and symptoms often start in your 30s. Knowledge is power. I provide the guidance you need to understand the changes to come so you can navigate this journey your way.
Menopause
Menopause is inevitable, but suffering is not. You will live 40% of your life in this hormonal state. Let’s navigate it together with care, science, and support so you can thrive.
Sexual Medicine
I take a whole-person approach to sexual health, honoring the natural ebbs and flows of desire through your lifetime. In this conversation, we center your education, your individual needs, and your pleasure.
About Me
I am a board-certified physician assistant licensed in Oregon, specializing in perimenopause, menopause, and sexual medicine. I hold certifications as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) and am a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH/IF).
My Approach I pride myself on taking the time to educate you, ensuring you understand your evaluation and treatment plan so we can be active partners in your care. I am deeply committed to inclusivity and am proud to be an LGBTQIA+, sex positive and judgment-free trauma-informed provider.
Beyond the Clinic I am also a national speaker, surgical first assistant, and retreat leader. I am a member of the Novo Collective, empowering women through education, and have co-led projects like the Attune Retreat and Mind, Body, Sexual Health & Cancer Retreat.
In 2026, I will serve as a featured speaker at the Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts conference series, educating other clinicians on women’s healthcare.
A Pacific Northwest native, I love yoga, spending time with my family, and simply enjoying life.
Why me?
Dedicated. Efficient. Effective. Transparent. Personalized.
I strive to provide the best care in the most efficient and cost effective way possible. At GynJess it’s me working directly with you, for you. Behind the scenes it’s just me and my husband, working from our home, in Corvallis, OR.
(Peri)menopause care is my passion! I study it, read the latest research and go to conferences so I can stay up to date on emerging data and bring all I’ve learned to you. I’ve provided menopause care to thousands of women and have nearly a decade of clinical experience.
As a woman in the thick of perimenopause I am experiencing the journey with you, literally on the rollercoaster in the seat next to you!
Let’s talk GynJess transparency. No subscriptions, memberships or supplement sales. I am not paid to promote. I prescribe FDA approved medications covered by your insurance and give you evidence based options.
GynJess is my attempt to model my own practice after my personal values which essentially are: 1. Do the right thing! 2. Be a good listener and believe your patients 3. Don’t prescribe or recommend treatments people don’t benefit from.
The beauty of this model is direct provider to patient care, no middle person, just you and me. Doesn’t that sound lovely!
You talk, I listen. Our time isn’t rushed and you have the opportunity to be fully heard. After your visit you’ll have direct messaging access to me for any questions that may come up after our visit.
Meet with me, let’s give you the time and attention this phase of life deserves. What you are experiencing is real and you don’t need to wait for it to get worse.
The time is now!
What to expect during our 50 minutes
Because we operate outside the constraints of insurance, our time together will not be rushed. We aren't just checking boxes; we are engaging in a dynamic conversation about your experience, your hormonal journey. You are a whole person and that is an important consideration in this conversation. Here is a general blueprint on how we will spend our time.
The Deep Dive (20 mins): We will review your full medical history, including previous symptom management.
Symptom Mapping (10 mins): We will go beyond "hot flashes" to discuss sleep, mood, cognitive function (brain fog), bone health, musculoskeletal symptoms and sexual health.
Education & Options (10 mins): I will explain the physiology and provide evidence-based options including hormone therapy, non-hormonal treatments, and lifestyle interventions.
The Blueprint (10 mins): We will co-create your personalized treatment plan, any recommendations for further evaluation and schedule follow-up.
