Understanding the Transition

Perimenopause and menopause are not just biological shifts; they are a new phase of life that deserves time, nuance, and individualized care.

Perimenopause

This can be a rollercoaster, and symptoms often start in your 30s. Knowledge is power. I provide the guidance you need to understand the changes to come so you can navigate this journey your way.

Menopause

Menopause is inevitable, but suffering is not. You will live 40% of your life in this hormonal state. Let’s navigate it together with care, science, and support so you can thrive.

Sexual Medicine

I take a whole-person approach to sexual health, honoring the natural ebbs and flows of desire through your lifetime. In this conversation, we center your education, your individual needs, and your pleasure.

About Me

I am a board-certifid physician assistant licensed in Oregon, specializing in perimenopause, menopause, and sexual medicine. I hold certifications as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) and am a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH/IF).

My Approach I pride myself on taking the time to educate you, ensuring you understand your evaluation and treatment plan so we can be active partners in your care. I am deeply committed to inclusivity and am proud to be an LGBTQIA+, sex positive and judgment-free trauma-informed provider.

Beyond the Clinic I am also a national speaker, surgical first assistant, and retreat leader. I am a member of the Novo Collective, empowering women through education, and have led projects like the Attune Retreat and Mind, Body, Sexual Health & Cancer Retreat.

In 2026, I will serve as a featured speaker at the Skin, Bones, Hearts & Private Parts conference series, educating other clinicians on women’s healthcare.

A Pacific Northwest native, I love yoga, spending time with my family, and simply enjoying life.

What to expect during our 50 minutes

Because we operate outside the constraints of insurance, our time together will not be rushed. We aren't just checking boxes; we are engaging in a dynamic conversation about your experience, your hormonal journey. You are a whole person and that is an important consideration in this conversation. Here is a general blueprint on how we will spend our time.

The Deep Dive (20 mins): We will review your full medical history, including previous symptom management.

Symptom Mapping (10 mins): We will go beyond "hot flashes" to discuss sleep, mood, cognitive function (brain fog), bone health, musculoskeletal symptoms and sexual health.

Education & Options (10 mins): I will explain the physiology and provide evidence-based options including hormone therapy, non-hormonal treatments, and lifestyle interventions.

The Blueprint (10 mins): We will co-create your personalized treatment plan, any recommendations for further evaluation and schedule follow-up.

FAQs

  • GynJess is a telemedicine-only specialty practice focused on perimenopause, menopause, and sexual medicine. There is no in-person option; all care is delivered virtually.

  • No. We are a cash-pay (direct payment) practice. This allows us to focus entirely on your care rather than insurance requirements.

    • Payment Method: A credit or debit card is required to book your appointment, but payment is not processed until after the visit concludes.

    • Reimbursement: Upon request, we can provide a Superbill. You can submit this to your insurance company to seek potential out-of-network reimbursement, though we cannot guarantee their coverage.

  • I designed this model to look toward the future and evolve with the changing healthcare landscape. By operating as a streamlined, virtual practice, I can increase access to care and dedicate more time to meeting your specific needs without the constraints of a traditional clinic.

  • If you have not yet established care specifically with the GynJess practice, you are considered a New Patient. Please book a New Patient Visit so we can formally begin our partnership under this new practice.

  • GynJess operates without a traditional administrative telephone line. New patients can contact GynJess here. Social media accounts are strictly for educational and advertising purposes. To protect your privacy and adhere to medical guidelines, Direct Messages (DMs) or comments regarding medical advice, symptoms, or scheduling will not be answered.

  • Yes. We currently serve patients located in Oregon state. Due to medical licensing laws and regulations, you must be physically located in Oregon at the time of your appointment. (Note: We hope to expand to other states in the future!)

  • While every patient is unique, 2–3 visits are common to dial in your regimen, followed by an annual review for medication renewal and maintenance.

  • Yes. I believe strongly in the “gynecology medical home” and the importance of physical clinical exams. GynJess acts as a specialist consultant for perimenopause, menopause and sexual health, but recommends you maintain care with a general gynecologist or primary care provider for your physical exams and routine screenings.

  • Yes. You will receive intake forms prior to your visit. They are required by law. Please complete them before we meet.

  • We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Late Cancellations & No-Shows: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or miss your appointment ("No-Show"), a $50 cancellation fee will be automatically charged to the credit card on file. GynJess does not have a phone number. If canceling within 24hrs log into patient portal and press “cancel”. If canceling less than 24hrs in advance, log into patient portal and send a direct message.

  • Your visit includes 30 days of portal messaging support. This is designed for follow-up questions, clarifications, and small adjustments to your treatment plan.
