Billing & paperwork

Using your FSA or HSA

Pre-tax dollars you have already set aside — the simplest way to pay here.

GynJess

Start here: your visit at GynJess is a qualified medical expense. You can pay with your FSA or HSA card at the time of service, exactly like any other card — nothing to file, nothing to wait for. This is usually simpler than an insurance claim, and it saves you money because those dollars were never taxed.

Two ways to use it

Pay with the card

Give us your FSA or HSA card as the card on file, or use it at checkout. The charge posts as GYNJESS and comes straight from your account.

Pay another way, reimburse yourself

Pay with any card, then submit your receipt or superbill to your plan administrator. Most have an app or portal for this.

FSA and HSA are not the same thing

FSA comes through an employer, and the money is generally use-it-or-lose-it by year end — some plans allow a small carryover or a grace period. If you have a balance in December, that is a reason to book.

HSA pairs with a high-deductible plan, is yours to keep, and rolls over indefinitely. There is no deadline to spend it, and no deadline to reimburse yourself for an expense you paid out of pocket.

If a charge gets flagged

Administrators sometimes ask you to substantiate a card charge. Send them the superbill — it carries the date, the provider, the service codes, and the amount, which is everything they need. Ask us any time and we will produce one.

Need a receipt or superbill?
Ask at your visit or send a portal message — just tell us the dates.
